I was drawn to naturopathy because of its holistic philosophy and the effectiveness of herbal and nutritional medicine. It has been a significant career change for me, but I am constantly delighted by the capacity for quality naturopathic care to support meaningful improvement in our health and, therefore, in our quality of life. I am particularly drawn to herbal medicine, its therapeutic potential revered in traditional medical systems continuing to be validated by contemporary clinical practice and scientific research.
With a recent quality degree and a passion for continued learning, I am not interested in gimmicks or fads, but in evidence-based health care and treatment designed for the individual circumstances of each patient. My approach is compassionate, balanced and practical. I am interested in hearing your story, understanding your personal experience and supporting you to reach your health goals.
One of the strengths of naturopathy is that we delve deeper and, therefore, we can develop a deeper understanding of our patient’s health picture. This deeper understanding enables a treatment that is focused on addressing what will likely be a wide range of diverse contributing factors, rather than a band-aid approach. The holistic philosophy embraced by naturopathy means that we acknowledge that our mental, physical and spiritual health are interconnected, a philosophy that is also increasingly affirmed by contemporary research and will be reflected in your individualised treatment plan. Your prescription will be designed to support your body’s innate healing capacity and vitality and may include herbal and nutritional medicines, individualised creams and realistic lifestyle and dietary suggestions.
