Herbs to Calm the Farm – Week 11 – Lime flowers

Last week we spoke about a herbal medicine that has been getting lots of attention lately, so this week we thought it was only fair that we spoke on one that works quietly in the background, with little attention. This week we are talking about Lime flowers or more formally known as Tilia cordata.

Not only is Lime flower a valuable medicine to help to calm your farm especially when those feelings of anxiety or overwhelm are associated with a raise in your blood pressure,1,2,3 but it could also be useful during the cooler winter months with its benefits of supporting you through the common cold and other respiratory infections.1,2,3 Best of all, its gentle nature makes it suitable for both children and adults when used appropriately.4

So, while some herbs are shouted loudly from roof tops, other equally valuable herbs work their magic behind the scenes. Which makes it important to talk with a qualified naturopath or herbalist who knows the value behind all of our medicines ensuring that you get the prescription right for you.
